Loop alarms
The Loop alarm (or LoopSystem) is the simplest method to
provide protection of your goods. The system protects your merchandise by
forming a loop. If the loop is broken or the alarm is attacked the alarm will
go off. The alarm sounder gives an unmistakable pulsed tone and it can only be
turned off with a key.
When using several alarms, the flashing red light helps you
determine which alarm is sounding.

The alarm unit can be either battery powered or mains powered.
The alarm will sound if the lid is removed. You can choose
to have an optional movement detector or 'jitter' facility.
Anti-tamper protection is provided by a jitter-switch inside
which will sound the alarm if the box is moved while switched
on.

One or more extension leads and/or sensor leads are joined
together to form the 'loop' and plugged into the main unit. Each sensor lead is
able to protect one item. These extension leads can also be interwoven among
the merchandise in such a way that the merchandise cannot be removed unless the
loop is broken by unplugging a connection. Doing this will break the electrical
circuit and set off the alarm, alerting the staff to the attempted theft.
The LoopSystem with the jitter option an "Exit Delay" of
approximately eight seconds enables the alarm to be switched on, the key
removed and the alarm positioned on a firm, level surface before the jitter
switch will react.
The red push button on the main unit tests both that the
unit is turned on and that the battery is OK.
Technically, there is no limit to the length of this 'daisy
chain', although for practical reasons we recommend that the limit is to
protect no more than 10 items. (The higher the number the harder it is to find
the "break" when it happens.)
By combining easy use, low cost and high security the
LoopSystem is an excellent way to reduce loss of displayed merchandise.
